For UA plumbing and pipefitting apprenticeship applicants
Built by someone who passed the pre-apprenticeship aptitude test on his first attempt. 38–58% cheaper than the market leader, with practice that targets your weak skill areas: Math, Mechanical Abilities, Figure Visualization, and Reading Comprehension.
No credit card required. Free diagnostic plus one practice session in every section. See where you rank before you pay a dime.
UA aptitude tests vary by local, but most share one hard truth: miss the cutoff and you typically wait 6 to 12 months before you can sit it again. That's half a year of your career idling while classmates move ahead.
We don't teach you to squeak by. We give you the study library to show up prepared the first time.
Four core skill areas UA aptitude tests commonly assess. Timed drills, full-length practice, pencil-and-paper friendly, no calculator. Your local may test additional topics — check with your JATC, and if it's something we don't yet cover, email us.
15 minutes to study ONE long passage (e.g. the history of US apprenticeships), then the passage is removed and you answer 25 true/false questions from memory.
Paper folding. Given a flat 2D shape with fold lines and sometimes punched holes, identify which 3D shape it forms or what it looks like when unfolded. No calculator, no drawing allowed.
Simple machines: gears (ratios, direction), pulleys (mechanical advantage, speed), levers (force × distance), fluid behavior, basic physics. Questions often use diagrams you cannot annotate.
Whole numbers, decimals, fractions, conversions, simple interest, perimeter/area (rectangles, triangles, circles), and reading a tape measure to 1/16 inch. Pencil and paper, no calculator. Difficulty: 7th-grade (calibrated to the Spectrum Math 7 workbook the local recommends).
We track which skill areas you're weakest on — Math, Mechanical Abilities, Figure Visualization, Reading Comprehension — and drill you on those, not the ones you already know.
